Tell us about your career?
As a result of the strains and injuries that my competitive
background has placed on my body, I have chosen to work in the field of
Physical Therapy. I recieved my Masters and Doctorate from the University
of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in St. Augustine Florida in 2001.
I now work Full-Time in a progressive practice in Westwood, California.
What are your hobbies?
Traveling, Tennis, Yoga, Dance, Gymnastics, walking at the beach.
What are your turn-ons?
Good Conversation, Massage, dancing..
What are your turn-offs?
Poor Hygiene, Mind Games, rude people..
Why did you get into fitness and or modeling?
Fitness was a natural transition for me after many years
of being a competitive athlete. I played Volleyball, Basketball and Tennis
in High-school and went to College on a Tennis Scholarship. I always loved
working out in the gym to improve my athletic abilities. Once I put down
the tennis rackets I spent more time in the gym and started taking up
some gymnastics training. People started to see me training so hard in
the gym and began to suggest I should compete. I thought it sounded like
a lot of fun so I decided to compete in my first fitness show. Many competitions
and injuries later, I switched to the Figure Category where I received
my Pro Card in August 2003’.Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years am sure I will still be involved with both
the Fitness and Physical Therapy industries. I plan to have my first book
written and published by then. I will probably still reside in Southern
California, although you never know where life will take you!! Hopefully
I will have met Mr. Right and be settled down with starting a family...
Tell me what contests, magazines etc. that you’ve been in?
I have been in Ms. Fitness, Ironman, and NPC news magazines
etc.. I recieved my Pro Card in August 2003 at Team Universe Nationals in New York.
I competed in my first two Pro Shows this year (2004), the Cal and the
New York. I am currently getting ready for a full year of competition in 2005’

I train each upper body part 1X week, with moderate to
heavy weight 3-4 sets, 4 exercises per body part. I train legs with light-moderate
weight and increased repetitions 1X per week -off season and 2X week pre-contest.
I increase my cardio from 30 minutes 5X week to 1-1.5 hours daily pre-contest.
I also do 1.5 hours of Bikram Yoga every other day.
What is your diet off season? What changes do
you make for pre-contest or photo shoot?
My diet is fairly consistent throughout the year because
I actually enjoy it!! I have a few more cheat days during the off-season
of course and a bit more carbs. I eat loads of veggies (all kinds), lots
of fish, chicken, and egg-whites. I also like to eat a lot of low-carb
yogurt, flax-seed, oatbran, peanut butter and protein shakes for convenience.
