 When Deborah told me about her diet, I was skeptical. I used to be really skinny with a fast metabolism but with age I put on weight and gained fat in places that used to be effortlessly thin. I'm used to eating a lot of fast food, fried foods, hardly any vegetables or fruit. I LOVE sugar and sweets and thought there is no way I can do this. But, my bulge in my tummy was not going away so I said, "What the heck?". At first I was having nightmares about all the sweets I wasn't eating but as the weeks flew by I started to feel better, more energy and I was in a lot better shape! Going to the gym got easier and I was happy seeing the results. This diet was easy to follow, even for someone like me who hardly eats things that are good for you. Dear Deborah,
How do I even begin to thank you for all that you have done to help me reach
my goals? Having you as my trainer has truly been a life changing
experience. You not only put 200% of yourself into helping me achieve my
fitness objectives but you were also a great friend and mentor along the
way.
Your customized diet and exercise program definitely requires hard work,
discipline and dedication, but you made it a lot of fun too.
I now see my body in a completely different way. Whereas I used to try to
play down my curves and muscles, I’m now
trying to develop them and show them off.
Also, now that I have cleaned up my diet and you have taught me how to eat
the right foods in the right combinations - I can’t believe how much I NEED
to eat to stay fit and healthy!!! It’s wonderful and I’ve completely lost
my appetite for foods that I know don’t nourish my body. Okay, so once in a
while I can be tempted….
Lastly, I wanted to thank you for making my first time at Nationals a

 Dear Deborah,
I recently moved into my new house and was so busy with decorating, planting, and painting, that I did not have time, nor the energy, to keep up my exercise regime. After having my housewarming party, I realized that I was the heaviest woman at the party. I was discouraged to find out that my weight had surged to an unbelievable 157 pounds at 5' 6".
That was near my heaviest weight ever. I did not know how to change this downward spiral and asked for your help.
The key to Deborah's regimen boiled down to two things: the time of day I exercised and the types of food I ate. I began working out in the mornings before I ate, instead of at the end of the day after work. I found that I had more energy and would burn more calories. I also ate a diet of high protein and low carbs, which was difficult at first. However, I still ate healthy carbs such as whole grain oatmeal and yogurt. After 12 weeks, I lost 12 pounds and two sizes in clothes. I was toned and in the best shape of my life. I had not worn size 8 clothes since junior high. Thanks, Deb!
